HJS Labs designs, builds and ships consumer applications for iOS and Android. Product, interface, backend and infrastructure — all in house, by the two people who founded the company.

The studio

A small team that ships the whole thing.

What we do sits across three disciplines that usually belong to three different teams. Because there are two of us, they belong to us — fewer handoffs, faster decisions, and a product that holds together end to end.

We build and release our own applications. We are not taking on external client projects at the moment.

Product & interface

Deciding what an app should do before deciding how it looks. Flows, screens, copy and the design system behind them, carried through to the shipped product rather than handed off as a mockup.

iOS & Android

Applications built for both platforms and released through the App Store and Google Play, including subscriptions, in-app purchases, and the store review and privacy requirements that come with them.

Backend & infrastructure

APIs, databases, authentication and deployment. We run our own production infrastructure and treat security and GDPR compliance as part of the build, not a step bolted on before launch.

Two founders, two halves of the product.

Both of us work on the company full time. If you write to us, one of us answers — there is no one else here to pass it to.

Jagoda Kozińska

Chief Executive Officer & co-founder

A product designer by trade, working professionally in the field before founding HJS Labs. She owns product direction, interface design, and how our applications reach the people they are built for.

Jagoda is the sole member of the management board and represents the company.

Hubert Szewczuk

Chief Technology Officer & co-founder

Full-stack and mobile developer. Hubert builds the applications and everything behind them — the mobile clients, the API, the database, and the production infrastructure they run on.

He also owns our security and data protection work, from access control in the API to breach response.

Currently building

Our first application is in development.

We are building a consumer mobile application for the Polish housing market, aimed at people who share a home with someone. It is scheduled to reach the App Store and Google Play in 2026.
